No matter how careful we are, or how cautious the people around us tend to be, accidents happen. Simply mishaps, some may cause an injury worth going to an accident ward at a hospital necessary while some give fatal results. Different situations have different risks, but it is all part of life – the constant game between taking risks and attempting to be safe at the same time. Most of the time, individuals do not protect themselves with extra safety gear that has been made to protect their bodies from harm and while some simply do not know as to what doctors need to channeled and consulted at the time of an accident.
As they fall and play
The group most likely to be exposed to danger would be children, as they are not quite familiar with the risk factor on certain things in life. For instance a toddler must be taught that a knife is sharp and a fire burns, or they would feel the need to explore the unknown and find out first hand by mishandling knives and cutting themselves or walk into fire and end up with burn wounds. As the adults in their life, parents have a responsible role to play. Parents must always keep an eye on their children as well as know what to do in time of need. If the toddler had bumped his face and had an injury involving their teeth, then the parents must know to inform the trusted family dentist who may also be an emergency dentist. This way he can easily update the family dental records as well as expertly attend to the urgent need.
When ego comes first
Another group most prone to danger would be teenager, as they to get quite overconfident and reckless with their lives. Whether it is driving over speed limits without the safety of a seat belt or even going swimming in a section of a lake that has been labelled unsafe. They feel immortal and therefore it is the duty of the older mature adults to take care of these mortal children. As they are the future members of our economy, they will be the ones taking the species forward and they will also be the ones who can take of the older generation someday, as well.
Things can change
Accidents cannot be entirely prevented, but people could be prepared. Parents could tape sharp objects and keep them in places that their little toddlers cannot reach and would not therefore be able to hurt themselves. Being strict with teenage drivers to follow road regulations and other necessary actions such as wearing seat belts. With these actions, accidents can be minimized or sometimes entirely prevented.
